Jaha Cummings is a local elected official, businessman, and community volunteer. He believes that the Tri-County Region, comprised of Charlotte, Sarasota, and DeSoto Counties, offers a quality of life and natural environment unmatched anywhere else in the country.

Global Experience
Jaha is a 5th generation Punta Gordian. He grew up in Florida and graduated from Dartmouth College. While at Dartmouth, he did a homestay in Kanazawa, Japan. From this experience he decided that he wanted to move to Tokyo after graduation where he lived and worked throughout Asia for 20 years. He founded a technical college in Micronesia which evolved into a healthcare consultancy that specialized in market entry for international healthcare companies and improving healthcare delivery in small countries. He also worked as a consultant in international business development and cross-cultural communications.
In Tokyo, Jaha founded a think tank with a focus on youth and values formation and was a delegate to the G8 Summit in Japan. This evolved into a publishing house that now specializes in creating works for film, TV, gaming, and AR/VR adaptation. He is a member of Book Adaptation Rights Market of the Venice Production Bridge at the Venice International Film Festival.
Jaha is co-founder of the Håya Foundation, an organization created in 2004 to facilitate the revitalization of traditional Chamorro culture in Guam. In 2020, UNESCO recognized Håya Foundation for its significant role in preserving Guam's culture and heritage.
Jaha is a Councilman for the City of Punta Gorda, serves on numerous governmental and non-profit boards, and is a member of Leadership Florida.
