TJ Thornberry is President of Thornberry Custom Builders. He is the 1st Vice President & Treasurer of the Florida Home Builders Association.
TJ was recognized as the 2019 Builder of the Year, Florida Home Builders Association and Builder of the Year, Charlotte Desoto Building Industry Association in 2007. He was Named “Top 40 Under 40” by Gulfshore Magazine, is a current SKY YMCA Advisory Board Member, and is in the Leadership Charlotte Class of 2010.
TJ is a Life Director, Charlotte Desoto Building Industry Association. In addition to these organizations, he is a member of the National Association of Home Builders, Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise Charlotte Economic Council, and Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda/North Port Association of Realtors.
He earned a Bachelor of Science from the College of Business at Florida State University; a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Florida; is a State Certified Building Contractor; Licensed Real Estate Broker; and Certified Lead Paint Renovator.
TJ is a Charlotte County native and came back “home” to start Thornberry Custom Builders, Inc. in 2004. He has put his belief of being involved in the community into action since coming back home.
