Tanna Horner is a 7th generation Floridian. She was born and raised in Sarasota and recently relocated to Charlotte County where her husband Brock, a 6th generation Floridian and resident Tarpon guide, is originally from. Tanna began her career as an early childhood educator and Gifted Program Coordinator. She spent the last ten years as the Principal of The Out-of-Door Academy in Sarasota. She began her position as the Executive Director of Peace River Botanical and Sculpture Gardens on July 1st of this year.

Tanna and Brock have a 5-year-old son, Tripp, who enjoys nature as much as his parents, and if you come out to the Gardens you may spot him running around as the is the official “Garden Greeter.”
