Kathy Burnam is the Marketing/Events Manager for Fishermen’s Village, a position she has held since January of 2000. Some of her responsibilities include: interfacing with the General Manager, Resort Manager, and Harbormaster to coordinate ongoing, effective Marketing Plan Strategies and development of Special Events. Responsible for preparing, submitting and implementing annual marketing/advertising budget. She serves as public relations/communications representative, reviews and places all media buys inclusive of print, TV, radio, outreach publications, billboard and social media. She prides herself on establishing and maintaining relationships with community leaders and organizations to grow partnerships to develop new signature special events.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Kathy and her husband Steve moved to Port Charlotte FL in 1998 to be closer to her aging Mother who, at the time, resided in North Port, FL.

Kathy’s previous positions include radio traffic manager, admin assistant for a Chamber of Commerce, as well as management and marketing of a community mall in South Carolina for 17 years.

Possessing a true passion for working with small business owners, Kathy continues to rally for support of shopping locally with independently owned merchants. A member of the Tourist Development Council for Charlotte County, Kathy knows the importance of tourism to maintain a healthy economic environment for our area.

She loves to be active including dancing, walking and daily reading of the Bible.
